Weekend Getaway to Denver!

This past weekend I took a short trip to Denver with my cuzzie, Ca, for our annual trip together! Last year it was New York. As usual, we always have fun together! It helps that we have the same mindset, go with the flow, up for anything, or doing nothing and just relaxing. We also booked our hotel and car rental the very day we were there too! Now that’s go with the flow! Took the train from the airport to Union Station in Denver. And it was there we had our first lunch at the Mercantile inside the Union Station. It was also where we had one of the best braised short ribs sandwich of our life! One where we will remember and talk about when we’re old and sharing our favorite travel memories. 🙂 After that walked around Larimer Square, 16th Street Mall and since there is an Aveda Institute there, we had to scheduled a spa appointment! Yes, “had to”…at that price you just have to goooooo. We lucked out the first day because we also had a super delicious meal at the The Republic, a wood oven pizza place with delicious thin pizza with amazing fresh ingredients! Duck confit, with figs and other stuff. Toasted mushroom ravioli and flourless chocolate cake completed this yummylicious meal. I promised you won’t be disappointed. The first night we stayed at Grand Hyatt in downtown Denver. The next morning we had an early start for our hike to the Rocky Mountain! There was still snow in some part of the trails. Here we are at the start of the hike!

Beautiful place. Lots of steps. I need to train more…I say that every single time. 🙂 And do I ever do something about it? Nope!

Drove to the cute little town of Boulder next! Not much to say about the place lol. If we had more time, we probably explore more. Headed back to Denver and for our last night we stayed at The Crawford Hotel, right in the Union Station. Beautiful hotel with free ice cream, coffee, and free rides with the Tesla! Enough said!

My most favorite place in all of Denver has to be this place right here. The Union Station. I wished we came out here at 2am and took pictures with no one around since we stayed upstairs. So convenient. But, next time, right?!

This is such a great place to read and write, or just chill. I can imagine coming here for creative lunch meetings which I saw many professionals did. We all wished for it, don’t we? A place that we can just let our mind wander. A safe sanctuary for all the madness in the world. We are all the same in that respect. Carving out our niche in this life. Wanting to be heard. To be remember. Train station. Speak of travels. Of Adventure. Of Meeting our Loved Ones. Saying Adieu. It has always been my prefer way to travel! Til next time, friends! I hope you a world of peace and happiness in all that you do!

It’s October Again….

This is a Rifle Paper, Co., inspired wreath from one of their products! I love my cold/hot tumbler so much I had to design an accompaning wreath. This one is actually in my room. 🙂 I have to stop myself from keeping everything I make. Here’s the tumbler down below.

It’s been a busy month so far, but I finally got started on this deer/fawn baby mobile that I have been putting off for quite some time. I can’t wait to finish it and show you! My next project is some deer headband/crowns. What will I make next?

Coordinating Mobile & Wall Embellishment

Recently I designed a matching mobile and wire embellishment set for a client who wanted to match the crib sheet above. Pretty darn close right?! She wanted more ivory and off-white flowers. 🙂 The bedding is from CadenLaneBabyBedding on Etsy. I like the setup of the crib, round wood table and plant! And that white fur rug adds an elegant, textural decor to the nursery!

My Favorite Time of the Year – Autumn

It took some critical thinking…but I can honestly say that Autumn is my favorite season! It’s not too hot or cold…and the colors purples/green/copper are probably my fave colors. So I’ve been on a creative frenzy designing these hair clips for Autumn Harvest Season!

Which one is your favorite?! Or are you like me and can’t choose? 🙂

The Season of Change

Autumn is upon us and with it the end of summer days, hot rays, and wearing tanks and shorts! Yet, I’m looking forward to pumpkin spice latte, pumpkin pies, (everything pumpkins 🎃 ) cozy sweaters, and just the textures of fall, tweeds, plaids…I’m excited at the prospects of using pumpkins, gourds, in my creations…like this one above! I think it’s just pretty enough to use it year round though, don’t you agreed? Stay tuned….

My Peter Rabbit – inspired baby mobile and wall embellishment

It’s been awhile since I last post on here….and I have to tell you it’s been a BUSY few months with orders coming in….YAYAYAYA!!! Happy dance commence…that lasted all of 10 seconds lol. Today I wanted to share with you with this baby mobile and wall floral embellishment that was inspired from the Tale of Peter Rabbit by Beatrix Potter. One of my favorite childhood book and as an adult too, I have to admit. The lovely Victorian illustrations and the adventures that Peter and his cousins/siblings embarked on! I also really love the small hardbound version.

I originally created just the baby mobile but then a client of mine wanted me to create the wire floral embellishment that looks like the mobile. It’s too bad she didn’t purchase the mobile too because I think it looks so lovely together. ;(  That exquisite deer wall bust is from Boramiri! I just LOVE her creations! She has several others and I want them all! LOL. But you can’t have them all in one place because that’s too much of a beautiful thing. The canopy is from Numero 74°. I’ve been in love with their items for many years. The quality and attention to detail of both of these products are just top-notch. And I like that they are both made in different parts of the world…Boramiri is handmade in France and Numero 74° in Thailand.

I just love these colors of the mobile and wire embellishment that I think I’m going to create a wreath! Thanks for visiting, as always, my dear readers…that one person…lol.

Garden of Dreams

I know I say this A LOT…but this is probably my MOST FAVORITE mobile I’ve created thus far…okay…it’s easily my top ten! I custom designed it for a client based on this wall paper she’s going to have in her nursery space. The finished product was even more than I can imagined. I can’t really describe that feeling but I will try…it’s like creating an item that transports you into that garden of dreams, where the colors are lush and vibrant. This was definitely a dream project, where the client trust me to create something unique that will go along her decor. It’s a leap of faith…not knowing what to expect. 🙂 I know I couldn’t do…unless I’ve seen their portfolio of their work. Of course, my client couldn’t be more thrilled. Ahhh…the sweet dreams the precious baby will have in this space. This is probably the main reason why I wanted to design a nursery. I don’t know what I’m waiting for…maybe because my shop is keeping me busy…or the real reason…I’m playing it safe. Not sure what steps to take to pursue it. Small steps right?!?
